James Shafer

Co-Owner

James Shafer has been in the construction and trade industry since the 1990s, with 25 years of experience in the gutter business. After starting JS Seamless in 2003, he co-founded Great Plains Home Exteriors in 2022 to provide homeowners with high-quality, customized exterior solutions. His commitment to expert craftsmanship and customer satisfaction has helped build a company known for precision and reliability. A former baseball player at UNK, James has spent over a decade coaching youth baseball, where he met Brian and formed a lasting partnership. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, golfing, grilling, and spending time with family—values that drive his dedication to teamwork and excellence in every project.

Brian Swett

Co-Owner

Brian has been in the construction industry since 2003, specializing in windows and doors since 2005. After starting at Pella, he spent years subcontracting, gaining invaluable expertise in quality craftsmanship and precision. In 2022, he co-founded Great Plains Home Exteriors with Jim Shafer, sharing a commitment to top-tier workmanship and customer service. A dedicated husband and father, Brian met Jim while coaching youth baseball, where their shared work ethic forged a lasting partnership. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, hockey, hunting, and spending time with his family—values that translate into teamwork and excellence in every project he tackles.
